1ST HALF: OSU 27 GU 23

By John Chandler

Paging Ron Lewis...
A quiet first half for Ron Lewis, who has yet to score with 8:28 to play in the first half. Hasn't even had a good look, just a forced drive to the hoop. In fact, the start of this game has Lewis and Conley flipping roles: with Lewis scoreless, Conley is picking up the pace with 6 points.

OSU's Final Four formula: deep bench = deep run.

Oh Boy, Roy
Roy Hibbert is back in the game, and lest anyone fail to notice, he crushed dunks on consecutive possessions to pull the Hoyas within one, 15-14. Greg, lose the warmups.

Light OSU's Fire
David Lighty's minutes have been active... he's physical on defense, and quick with two steals... one leading to a transition layup from Jamar Butler, 20-14 OSU.

In fact, turnovers have kept Georgetown down in the half. Sloppy with the ball, but I have to believe the Buckeyes are partly responsible for that.

Mike Conley adds a three for a 23-17 lead, and now has 9 points. Even with Oden in the lineup, this team runs through it's point guard. All the good ones do.

Green is Money
Jeff Green starts to pick up the pace with two athletic hoops. This guy's the matchup Ohio State has to worry about... they might not have anyone who can match his size and skill. Arguably one of the best players in the nation, for my money.

Halftime: OSU 27, GU 23... Oden's bench time: 17:19
